Carlos Carrillo, a representative of Castillo’s legal team, declared that the allegations are baseless and intend to hinder the professional paths of the young attorney and her associate. He highlighted that lurking beneath these assaults are hidden financial motives aiming to benefit from tarnishing Castillo’s reputation.
The defense emphasized that this isn’t the first time the attorney has faced media harassment. They referenced a comparable situation in 2021 when a Panamanian outlet released false information concerning an alleged arrest of Castillo, which was later refuted.

The legal team stated that both the recent claims and those from 2021 are based on “partial truths,” distorted to harm the professional standing of attorney Odila Castillo.
